building & Remodeling
NWE is pleased to work with customers to make their new line extensions a smooth and effortless process. Please be aware that like many other industries, the electric utility industry is experiencing supply chain shortages and delays. Your new construction electric service may be subject to material availability.
If you are interested in extending electric service into your property (not transferring services) for a new house build, installing electric on a new shed/garage, installing a pedestal for a camper hookup, going underground, or needing to move the meter socket to a new location on property please click the link to the left and follow steps provided. Once the information regarding the proposed location is defined, including the your lot sketch and the completed request form, an NWE representative will be in contact with you and then prepare an estimated cost for a new line extension. NWE will then work with your electrician to schedule the line extension and hookup. NWE requires an easement on your property to allow us access for repair and maintenance of the new wires we will be installing. The easement document is available at our offices and should contain the legal description of your property (found on your warranty deed). This document needs to be signed and notarized. We have Notary Publics at our offices. |

NWE will require an Underground Release and Wiring Affidavit (completed by a WI master electrician) for the completion of wiring to complete the hook-up of the electric service.
