commercial general service (GS-1)
The General Service Rate is designed as NWE’s “basic” commercial rate. It is available to all commercial, institutional, government, and industrial customers who’s Maximum Measured Demand does not exceed 20 kW for three or more months in a consecutive 12-month period. This rate is available for customers who desire single phase or three-phase service.
Commercial general service Time-of-day (GS-2)
The General Service Time of Day rate is available to all general service customers who qualify for the CG-1 rate. Customers choosing to be served on this rate schedule must remain on it for a minimum of a 12-month period.

small power service (cp-1)
The Small Power Service rate is applied to customers for all types of service if their monthly Maximum Measured Demand is in excess of 20 kilowatts (kW) per month, but not more than 200 kilowatts per month, for three or more months in a consecutive 12 month period.
Customer on this rate will continue to be billed on this rate until their monthly Maximum Measured Demand is less then 20 kW per month. If the kW stays below 20 for an entire year a new service is needed.
Under the small power service Commercial Customers are billed a monthly Energy charge based on their kilowatt hour usage (kWh) plus a monthly customer charge plus a demand charge.

Small power optional time-of-day (cp-2)
The Small Power Optional Time of Day rate is available to all customers who qualify for the Cp-1 rate. Customers who choose to be billed on this rate are required to stay on it for minimum of 12 months. At the end of the 12-month period the customer will have to choice to remain on the Time of Day rate or be billed on the regular small power rate.
Under the Small Power Optional Time-of-Day Commercial Service, Customers are billed a monthly off peak and on peak Energy charge based on their kilowatt hour usage (kWh) plus a monthly customer charge plus a demand charge.

large power time-of-day (CP-3)
The Large Power Time of Day rate will be applied on a mandatory basis to all customers for all types of service if their monthly Maximum Measured Demand is in excess of 200 kilowatts per month for three or more months in a consecutive 12-month period.
Under the Large Power Optional Time-of-Day Commercial Service, Customers are billed a monthly off-peak and on-peak energy charge based on their kilowatt hour usage (kWh) plus a monthly customer charge plus a demand charge.
