New Service Construction
NWE is pleased to work with customers to make their new line extensions a smooth and effortless process. Please be aware that like many other industries, the electric utility industry is experiencing supply chain shortages and delays. Your new construction electric service may be subject to material availability.
If you are interested in extending electric service into your property (not transferring services) simply call NWE at 800-261-1200 or 715-463-5371 Ext. 119 to speak to a new construction representative. Once the information regarding the proposed location is defined, an NWE representative will prepare an estimated cost for a new line extension. If you wish to proceed simply submit an application for service along with the payment for the extension (if there is any) and NWE will work with your electrician to schedule the line extension and hookup.
NWE requires an easement on your property to allow us access for repair and maintenance of the new wires we will be installing. The easement document is available at our offices and should contain the legal description of your property (found on your warranty deed). This document needs to be signed and notarized. We have Notary Publics at our offices.
